April delivered another great month for home sales in the Greenville SC real estate market. Home closings were up 18% over last April and year to date we are up 15% over 2012. March continued the positive trend we have been enjoying in the Greenville SC real estate market. Home sales are up 10% year to date and homes for sale inventory is still down from normal levels. Many new listings are going under contract in less than a week and multiple offers are becoming more common.

  • There are currently 4,061 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS. 527 of these homes are to be built/new never lived in homes.
  • During the month of March there were 608 homes that closed for an average price of $173,496. This represented a 3.4% discount off

The now familiar trend continued in February in the Greenville South Carolina real estate market. Home sales are up and home for sale inventory is down. The homes for sale inventory has continued to hover around 4,000 single family homes for sale which is down nearly 12% from February 2012. When good quality listings come on the market that are priced appropriately, we are seeing them go under contract quickly with multiple offers in many situations. Single family home sales year to date are up 10% over the same time period in 2012. We are all anxiously watching the developments in Washington and hope our political leaders can come together to reach some solutions.
