It is hard to believe but we are already in the second month of 2017 and now we will review how we started the year in home sales. The new President is in place and we can put the election behind us and all move forward. Homes for sale inventory remains low and Realtor and buyers are hoping we see new quality inventory come on the market soon.

According to the Greenville SC MLS there are currently 3,031 single family homes for sale with 1,018 of these being to be built or new construction homes. That means these new construction homes make up 34% of available homes for sale which an extremely high percentage. During the month of January there were 562 single family homes sold for an average price of $216,768 which represented a 2.7% discount off

2016 is in the books and it was another good year for home sale in the Greenville SC market area. During 2016 there were 11,235 single family homes sold which represented a 7.5% increase over 2015. We finished the year with low inventory and with a higher number of new and to be built homes as a percentage of available homes for sale. Interest rates have started to creep up but still remain at attractive levels. The outlook nationwide is for a 1 to 3% increase in home sales for 2017.

There are currently 3,054 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS with 949 of those being new or to be built homes. This homes for sale inventory is down 8% compared to this time last year. During the month of December there were 817 homes sold for an

It has been a great year for single family home sales in the Greenville SC area and November added even more growth compared to 2015. During the month of November there were 819 homes sold which was up 22% over November last year. Year to date home sales stand at 10,405 which represents an 8% increase over the same time period in 2015. Homes for sale inventory remains low and days on market are shorter.

There are currently 3,253 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS with 915 of these being new or to be built homes. During the month of November there were 819 home sold for an average sold price of $216,076 which represented a 2.4% discount off list price. These homes sold for an average of 58 days on market.

Presidential election is next week and no matter how you are voting, I am sure we can all agree that we will be happy for the election to be over. Home sales in the Greenville market remained strong with October closings up almost 5% over last year. Year to date we are still up over 6% compared to 2015. Homes for sale inventory is down slightly from last month and will probably stay near the current level for the next 2 months.

There are currently 3,427 single family homes for sale in the Greenville SC MLS with 879 of these being to be built/new construction homes. During the month of October there were 861 homes sold for an average price of $221,782 which represented a 2.7%

Fall has finally arrived and the weather is starting to cool off. The real estate market remains strong with year to date sales continuing to outpace the same time period last year by 6%. Homes for sale inventory is down slightly from last month which will probably continue through the end of the year. Interest rates are still attractive but facing some volatility.

There are currently 3,494 single family homes for sale in the Greenville SC MLS with 880 of those being new or to be built homes. During the month of September there were 991 single family homes sold for an average price of $213,282 which represented a 2.1% discount off list price.
