The Lake Lure Olympiad Sports Festival brings people together to promote health and wellness while supporting charitable giving, regional tourism and economic development. This year marks the 11th Lake Lure Olympiad Sports Festival. The Lake Lure Olympiad consists of a 10k Dam Run, Lake Lure Triathalon and Race to the Rock.
The Lake Lure Olympiad is completely family-friendly, so feel free to bring your kids along so they can join in on the fun and earn medals too! There are plenty of events for children aged 4-14 to enjoy including an obstacle course, 40-yard dash, soccer kicks, basketball throw and more!
The event will take place August 14-16 and events will include the Open Water Swim, 2-Mile Couch to Cart Path Run, Golf Tournament and Junior Olympiad. The Lake Lure Olympiad is being hosted by Rumbling Bald Resort and Chimney Rock State Park with support from Rutherford Regional Health System.

Auxilary, Friends of the Garden Ad Litem Program of Rutherford County, Hickory Nut Gorge EMS, Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach, Lake Lure Classical Academy, Lake Lure Fire Department, Lake Lure Lions Club, Lake Lure Police Department, Camp Lurecrest and Friends of Chimney Rock State Park.
