Forbes.com has just released a report about the Top 10 best places to live during the current economic difficulties. Greenville South Carolina comes in at number 5 out of the entire United States. Factors considered in the report include affordability, job growth and low property taxes.

In addition the accounting firm, KPMG, ranked the Greenville area fourth on a list of least-expensive mid-sized locations for doing business.

The housing prices in the Greenville area have not seen the erosion that most parts of the country have experienced. The median home price for 2008 is up 1.6% compared to 2007.
