Make plans now to be Aloft this Memorial Day weekend

Every once in a while, I like to post some of the events that are unique to our area so that people thinking about moving here get a taste of our area and the lifestyle here. 

The Aloft Festival has become a local tradition and is returning this year. Simpsonville’s Heritage Park will be the location for three days of music, family May 23-26. The expected over 200,000 attendees will enjoy music from the likes of Hot Chelle Rae, Thompson Square, and Blues Traveler. The festival combines great food, good music and scores of hot air balloons in a one of a kind Memorial Day experience.

Curb Appeal. At least that is what they called it a few years ago. It was the ability that your home had to make a casual driver who was going by on their way home from work (or wherever) STOP the car and be interested in your home. If your home had it, it was a great thing!  

It has always been important and still is. Having an attractive home with good "curb appeal" helps your home possibly sell for more and in less time. But let's talk about the 2014 version of it. The first three months of 2014 are in the books and we enjoyed another strong month for home sales in the Greenville area. Inventory remains tight and look for days on market to shrink over the coming few months. April, May and June are traditionally the 3 biggest months for home sales in our area and we expect that trend to continue. Market ready homes that are priced correctly are selling quickly.
