Get ready for five days of intense competition at the 2014 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships. The event will run from August 28 until September 1, as 450 of the world's best athletes compete in the event known as the Super Bowl of Para-Cycling. Para-cycling is a cycling competition for athletes who have physical disabilities. The event is governed by the International Cycling Union. "Let your dog chase someone else's tail for a change" at Greenville's 2014 Mutt Strut. This event, hosted by the Greenville Humane Society and Papa John's, is the largest dog-friendly race in the state! Join all of the other participants on Saturday, August 23, for the 3rd Annual Mutt Strut 2-Mile Run/Walk With (Or Without) Your Dog.

The Greenville Saturday Market continues to prove that it is 'more than just a market.' With cooking demos, live music and children's activities, the Saturday Market is a weekend staple for the Greenville community. The weekly musician for August 9 is the West End String Band performing blue grass, old country and roots music blended with modern touches. Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays are a great way to end your work week on a lighter note. Main Street Fridays is a weekly music series that is held at NOMA square from March 21 through September 26.
