2018 is over and it is time to take a look back and look forward to 2019. We had another great real estate year in Greenville as homes sold growth continued. Interest rates did tick up as I projected in my January 2018 blog.
Below are some comparisons for 2018 vs 2017
- 2018 Total Single Family Homes Sold: 12,263 2017 Total Single Family Homes Sold 11,606 (5.4% Growth)
- Average Sold Price in 2018: $245,156 Average Sold Price in 2017: $229,984 (Average Discount off list both years was 2.3%)
- Average Days on Market 2018: 52 Average Days on Market 2017: 54
- Active Listings at end of 2018: 3,022 Active Listings at end of 2017: 2,966
My projection for 2019 single family home sales is for slower growth in the range of 2 to 3% and interest rates to continue a slight upward trend.
