Greenville SC New Home Construction

Newly released numbers from the Greenville County Codes Enforcement Department show that through July there have been 1,671 permits issued for new single-family homes in the Greenville SC area.  While this represents a 6% drop from the same period in 2006, the area is still outperforming the national numbers.

Nationwide residential construction in July fell to the lowest level in more than a decade.  In the Greenville County area Simpsonville and Greer continue to have the largest number of new homes available.  These homes range in price from $100,000 to over $2,000,000.

Through August 16, 2007 there have been over 1,200 new homes sold in the Greenville area for an average price of $249,998.  This information was obtained from the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors.
