Greenville SC Real Estate Activity-March 2010

The first quarter of 2010 is now behind us and I wanted to give you a quick snapshot of the single family homes sold information for the Greenville SC real estate market. Our area continues to gain traction and are positioned to have a good home selling season heading into the summer months which are traditionally the highest volume months of the year.

Below is a recap of activity based on information from the Multiple Listing Service of Greenville, South Carolina, Inc. for single family residential home sales through March 31, 2010.

  • There are currently 6,112 active single family home listings for sale with 877 of these being new/never lived in homes.

The first time home buyer credit will end with contracts finalized by the end of April and closed by the end of June. These buyers have provided a boost to the home sales and everyone is anxious to see the activity level once this program ends.
