Market Information for Greenville South Carolina Real Estate

The news continues to be good for the Greenville SC real estate market with single family homes sold for the first four months of the year up over 8% compared to 2009.  Comparing April 2010 to April 2009 shows an increase of over 16% for the month and the average sales price up almost 5%.

With the Federal home buyer incentive program which ended with contracts ratified by April 30th, it will be interesting to see the effect this will have on our market heading in to the summer selling season which is traditionally our highest volume months of the year. Interest rates have remained near historic lows and there are good inventory levels in all price classes of homes,

Below is a recap of activity based on information from the Multiple Listing Service of Greenville, South Carolina, Inc. for single family residential home sales through April 30, 2010.

There are currently 6,219 single family homes for sale in the Greenville SC MLS with 908 of these being new/never lived in homes.
