Family Discovery Programs at Chimney Rock are offered free with paid admission to the park and held daily at 2 p.m. The programs are led by resident animal ambassadors who teach families about the importance of preserving and protecting wildlife. Families will also have the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals and their roles in the local ecosystem. You may even get a chance to see wildlife like a red-tailed hawk or great horned owl!
You can make a whole day of visiting Chimney Rock State Park. The park consists of four scenic hiking trails, rock climbing and breathtaking geological features. Grade the Groundhog's Animal Discovery Den and the Great Woodland Adventure Trail feature 13 interactive discovery stations that kids will love.
