The holiday season is known as a time for giving and sharing what we have with others. While giving during the Christmas season is important, it is also important to remember those around us who are in need all year round, not just during the holidays. The Greenville Loaves & Fishes organization help families who are in crisis and facing food insecurity. Food insecurity means that families have limited or uncertain access to safe and nutritionally adequate food.

Loaves & Fishes partners with other agencies and organizations to help make sure everyone in Greenville has adequate food. Loaves & Fishes does not deliver food to private homes but instead helps connect organizations into one cohesive group, with all member agencies working together to end food insecurity in Greenville. Loaves & Fishes helps proved hundreds of thousands of meals in Greenville County and relies on local support to continue this mission. Loaves & Fishes makes holding a Food and Fund Drive simple with a Coordinator's guide and resources to help you along the way. Some of the most needed food drive items include beans, boxed rice, canned tuna, peanut butter, boxed cereal, pasta and pasta cause, soups and stews and canned fruits and vegetables. During the holidays, the organization also needs cranberries and green beans.

If you have food you wish to donate or you want to get started on a Food and Fund Drive of your own, visit loavesandfishesgreenville.com for details on how you can help this important local organization.
