Home sales in the Greenville area for the month of October were slightly down from last October, but year to date home sales are still up 19%. Our homes for sale inventory has remained pretty constant for most of the year in the 4,500 range. 2013 has been a great rebound year for real estate in many areas of the country and Greenville has outperformed many major metropolitan markets.
Below is a recap of real estate activity based on information from the Greenville Multiple Listing Service for the month of October 2013.
- There are currently 4,477 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS. 724 of these homes are to be built/under construction/new never lived in homes.
- During the month of October there were 598 single family homes sold. These homes closed for an average sales price of $181,472 which represented a 4.5% discount off asking price. These homes closed in average of 88 Days on Market.
- Year to date there have been 7,116 single family homes sold. This compares to 5,790 for the same time period last year
