The first quarter has been strong for single family home sales in the Greenville SC real estate market. Year to date there have been 2,077 homes sold compared to 1,650 for the same time period last year. What makes this even more impressive is that homes for sale inventory is down 9 percent from last year so more sales with less homes to choose from.
There are currently 3,851 single family homes for sale with 767 of these being to be built/new construction homes. During the month of March 893 homes sold compared to 649 for March of 2014. These homes sold for an average price of $196,134 which represented a 3% discount off asking price. Homes sold during March in an average of 90 days on market.
