The single family homes for sale inventory rose again this month which is good news for buyers that have been fighting over homes during the tight inventory. Days on market fell again this month and is nearly 30 days shorter than typical averages. All this means you need to be working with a Realtor that can make sure you are first in line to see new listings that match your criteria.

The following information was obtained from the Greenville MLS. There are currently 3,375 single family homes for sale with 776 of these being new or to be built homes. During the month of May there were 1095 homes that closed which represented a 7.8% increase over last May. These homes sold for an average price of $218,378 which reflects a 2.5% discount off the asking price. These homes sold in an average of 62 days on market. Year to date there have been 4,319 homes that closed which is up 8.5% over the same time period last year.
