The Greenville Saturday Market continues to prove that it is 'more than just a market.' With cooking demos, live music and children's activities, the Saturday Market is a weekend staple for the Greenville community. The weekly musician for August 9 is the West End String Band performing blue grass, old country and roots music blended with modern touches. The performer for August 16 will be Don Axiom who combines acoustic styles such as folk, country, bluegrass and Americana with a contemporary flair.
There are several vendors available at the Greenville Saturday market. A+ Nursery offers plants, trees and herbs. Banana Manna sells various banana breads including, gluten free, chocolate, paleo and cranberry. Bird Houses and Stuff offers butterfly houses, bird houses, bird feeders and bat houses. Blaine Owen Photography sells local photography of Greenville and the surrounding countryside. Upcountry SoapWorks sells natural soaps, after shave and lotions. Other items for sell include lip balm, apples, mushrooms, candles, free-range chicken and duck eggs, garden planters, fresh-cut pasta, cutting boards, beef, hot coffee, pies and so much more.
Greenville's Saturday Market is a pet-free market. The market is held at Main Street at McBee Avenue in Downtown Greenville on Saturdays, May 3 through October 25. The market opens at 8:30 a.m and closes at 12:30 p.m. August children's activities are held from 9 a.m. to noon.
