The Greenville South Carolina real estate market continues to improve and is showing good growth over 2011 and we are maintaining lower and healthier homes for sale inventory. Interest rates are at historic lows and we are in the busiest months of the years for home sales in Greenville.
Below is a recap of activity based on information from the Multiple Listing Service of Greenville, South Carolina, Inc. for single family residential home sales for June 2012.
- There are currently 4,549 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS which represents a 21% decrease from June 2011. Our current homes for sale represents about 8 months of inventory and is much better that the majority of the country.
- Year to date there have been 3,159 homes closed which is an 8% increase over the same time period last year. The average price for the homes that have closed this year is up 4% over last year at $179,981.
- During the month of June 2012 there were 610 homes that closed for an average price of $201,323 and sold for an average of 4.2% off list price. These homes sold in an average of 96 days on market.
