The first three months of 2014 are in the books and we enjoyed another strong month for home sales in the Greenville area. Inventory remains tight and look for days on market to shrink over the coming few months. April, May and June are traditionally the 3 biggest months for home sales in our area and we expect that trend to continue. Market ready homes that are priced correctly are selling quickly.
Below is a recap of activity based on information from the Multiple Listing Service of Greenville SC for single family home sales for the month of March 2014.
- There are currently 4,212 single family homes for sale in the Greenville MLS. 709 of these homes are to be built/under construction/new never lived in homes.
- During the month of March there were 613 single family homes that sold and closed. These homes sold for an average price of $198,510. Average discount off list price was 3.9%. Homes sold in an average of 98 days on market.
