With November now in the books we are heading for the end of 2017. Homes for sale inventory has remained steady for much of the year and interest rates have fluctuated little during the course of 2017. New home inventory continues to increase as builders are increasingly comfortable in our market.
There are currently 3,231 single family homes for sale in the Greenville SC MLS with 1,211 of these being new or to be built homes. That means that these new or to be built homes make up 37% of current homes for sale. During the month of November there were 829 single family homes sold for and average price of $235,039 which represented a 2.7% discount off asking price. These homes sold in an average of 54 days on market. Year to date homes sales are up 1.8% over the same time period last year.
