Greenville's award winning downtown is the arts and entertainment epicenter for the Upstate South, with live entertainment ranging from ballet to baseball. Greenville is also known for its outdoor entertainment which includes jazz concerts, street festivals, farmer's markets, and moonlight movies along the Reedy River. Local theater companies provide intimate settings for performances, while the Peace Center for the Performing Arts hosts major productions on three performance stages including an outdoor amphitheater. The Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery houses one of the most recognized collections of religious artwork in the nation, including works by such artists as Dolci, Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian and Van Dyck.

Education
Greenville County has the largest school district in South Carolina, with more than 57,000 students. The site of the only International Baccalaureate Program in the state, Greenville also boasts eight select schools, or magnet academies offering unique educational opportunities at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Greenville's post secondary institutes include five universities and four colleges. The city's library system consists of a main branch, 10 regional branches, and a Law Library.
Transportation
Accessible by four interstate highways, Greenville is also serviced by a city-wide bus service, and rail service by Amtrak. Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is located 12 miles from downtown, and provides passenger service to most domestic and international destinations. The Greenville Downtown Airport, located in the heart of the business district, offers a full range of aviation services.
