Situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, Taylors is nestled among numerous golf and country clubs, city parks, urban lakes, and three of the most spectacular state parks in the entire Upstate region. Less than five miles away is the 1540-acre Paris Mountain State Park, with hiking and biking trails that pass through old growth hardwood forests. Even grander, but slightly farther away is Caesar's Head State Park. With some 50 miles of hiking trails, one of which leads to the awe-inspiring 420-foot Raven Cliff Falls, this 7500-acre park is considered a "must-see."
The average number of homes for sale in the greater Greenville area is 5,500, with 1000 of those being brand new homes that have never been lived in. In 2006, the average sale price of a home in this area was $182,000.
